A Window on the World of Living Well

Royal Blue

A little while ago I visited one of Netherlands most exclusive antiquarian called Piet Jonker. Here they really know how to combine the old with the new. At the shop stylingteam Kamer 465 created a room completely in blue. As you maybe have noticed, blue is my favourite colour. So this was an heaven which I had to share with you all!

Old meets New

With the mix of old antique and modern design the team of Kamer 465 shows us that this combination brings life in a completely new decorated room. If you look at the details you will see that there's also a beautfiul mix of strong and soft materials. A combination of marble and velvet gives a room a strong but elegant feeling. The carpet/piece of art on the wall is created by Celia Hadeler. She recently showed her work at the Salone del Mobile!

Rich decorations

A trend which I very much adore is the use of dried flowers. The elegant combination was made by Edenique Floral Design. Fresh flowers were combined with dried ones, to give the room an extravagant touch. Although blue can feel very cold, the use of rich fabrics and beautiful flowerdesign gives this space a warm and cosy feeling.

Time to warm up

If your done with the blue (I can't  imagine) then you can find your warmth at the showroom. Here you will find a rich collection of unique vintage pieces and artworks. I'm still in love with these yellow chairs. Maybe one day I will buy one and mix it with my own blue sofa. Want to know more about this beautiful place?! Then you should really check out Piet Jonker or Kamer 465
